Thanks! I took my future father in law out for a ride this past weekend. He has fond memories of his chevelle with dual exhaust, police interceptor engine, etc. Well, I pulled very gently out of his driveway doing about 20mph and then nailed the throttle, pinning him to the seat in the process. His response...."Now that's what I'm talking about!" I think he was grinning ear to ear. Glad I could do that for him on father's day.

**My dad's ridden in the TA before and he's scared of the car as it has way more power than his old super bee - 383/4barrel/auto.

Thanks Tony! It's definitely a work in progress though. Seats are next on the to-do list. F.I.L. wants to go to a junkyard and get me leather seats. I let him know I'd be recovering these instead ;)

What that is all he will find is junk,as far as seats go thats for sure.  I know brian is on track with his idea.

Brian...you may have already planned on doing this...but rewiring the seat springs and putting new foams(especially in the front, I kept the rear seats stock)  was worth its weight in gold when i redid mine...just food for thought.

Tony, Dave, Jeff - yep, yep, and yep ;D

Planned on doing seat springs as I know the driver's side is shot - the cushion is literally laying on the floor boards right now. And since the springs are shot, probably the foams too. And the driver's side is leaning so I'll need to do the fix that Brett has posted up for the bushing. If its not the bushing...well let's just say the 80 firebird has a pristine set of front seats (albeit in red vinyl) that could donate to the cause until I need a set for that car. Was planning on using something between the springs and the foam so it lasts a heck of alot longer.

All in due time...weddings are expensive and mine's less than 2 months away now so cash is non-existent at this time, any spare is going towards the wedding fund.

After that...repop seatbelts as the car came with a color matched set from the factory. Some dog chewed the passenger side so they have to be replaced - they'll never pass safety inspection if I was to put them back in.

Then...well you guys know, its a never ending parade of $$ towards the little detail stuff like all the factory stickers that are missing due to the resto.

I got the 160mph from a 78 Macho TA that I bought from a guy for 150.00. The car was smashed, his wife wrecked into a telephone pole. I finally took my car on the highway to try and really put the speedo to the test and wouldnt you know it traffic is heavy. My little town keeps getting bigger and now that NASA is supposed to open up a old HP building in town. It is going to be even harder to find a open road

Here's a link to mine. I've posted it before I think but it's better suited in this thread. This is the day I brought her home for the first time. Kinda had a weird face at the end as I was tuning into the sound of the engine listening for noises. Unfortunately I've got a wiped cam lobe that needs changed as of now :( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXRUPPLHR3w
