Identify a Part

Can anyone help identify this part. I have a 79 TA.

I am attempting to get the part uploaded   Due to the image size it will not load. Hopefully I can upload soon

I have never seen that before in a second gen firebird before and i've recently disassembled two 79's.

 It has been years since I tore the vehicle down and it was in with other parts. I have been putting it back together a little at a time. I think it came from somewhere in the dash components but not sure. Thanks for your input.
