Just wondering if anyone has installed these and if you are satisfied with them and/or have any trouble with them.

I was told they melt the wiring harness but I think Keven has them(or similar) on his Formula. I don't know his screen name though.
-
I've looked into those. They looked alright (didn't know bout the wire harness) but I suppose you could beef up the wiring a bit. The stock headlights I got are pretty miserable. One other road that I thought about going was getting 4x6 housing with some HID's. A lot of people don't think HID's are for this type of car...but I justify it by saying it would be for safety.. And I like really modernizing the car whilst still keeping a pretty stock look.

Kevin has them and Russ(Lomileta) had them in his TA also

It wouldn't be that difficult to install some relays to take all the load off the factory harness
-
I'd run them on a bank of relays using the original headlight wires as the tripper wire for those. Best way would be to use 4 relays. 2 low beam and 2 high beam, splitting those up for each side. That would leave you free to run heavier wire with individual fuses.

oh hey. I just thought of Kevins screen name......wait for it...it's" Kevin"....I was just thinking about how dumb it sounded but I was preoccupied

Im in class now, but Heidi give me a call later and I'll explain it.

I really thought they looked pretty cool. Here is a short video showing Kevin's when the car was at my house for interior work.

Why for they blink?

Why for they blink?
That is just the halo ring that blinks, the headlights stay on. And I think you can wire it up to stay on or blink... just what ever you prefer.
-
oh. Well thats cool. They seem very bright. How are they compared to the normal ones while driving at night on an unlit road?
-
I've since disconnected them, but you can wire them up to a switch that controls them independently or you can wire them to the marker lights so that they flash with the marker lights. They should definitely not be used instead of headlights. I would turn them on around dusk and then switch to the headlights when it got too dark. Of course when I switched to headlights they would stay one too since the marker lights would stay on too. I may wire them back up to an independent switch inside the car sometime, but I'm not going to splice them into the markers again since that's a brand new forward lamp harness I've got in there now.
-
WOW I think I like them!! Especially seeing the video now.
Anyone else have a picture of what they look like on their car?
I was also told that I could just use the blue bulbs, but I have them in my Rodeo and they seem to trip the fuse about every 6 months.

Can someone on here photoshop up (or paint works I guess) a schematic to switching to different bulbs/HID's? Including what resistors, relays, and any other components that are required too?
I don't mind doing electrics but I'd like to know exactly what I need to do how to do it so I don't fry stuff. I can read schematics pretty decent too. If some does this ill probably start from scratch n make a new harness for everything.
-
Kevin actually had M&H Wiring Harness make him the harness to run those lights so you might want to PM him to see what it cost.
Otherwise, its as simple as adding in (4) 4 pin relays to drive the new bulbs. Use (2) for the low beams and (2) for the high beams. After that, follow the wiring diagram included with the halos to wire them up as you want.

Dont do HIDS, I've posted on this to great length on AllGenTransAms
Scroll down to where I start posting (Anastasiofan92) and I explain why you should stay away from them. Get a set of Hellas.
