I what to lower my 77 as much as I can. what do you all think about this setup?  I also have 17x9's
I think the front can be done with dropped spindles.

might want to look into the air ride system, i know a guy with a formula did it with all the factory stuff and it slammed to the ground but when needed he could lift up.....

i feel like with what you will pay for the air ride system it would run you about the same as if he bought those two setup and i think those two setups would look very cool.  though eroc022 does have a point with air ride you can bring her up to a safe driving height when ever your worried about slammin the front end.

whats wrong with the stock sub frame? you think that one weights less???  have they decreased the scrub radius along with bump steer reduction design in the steering geometry? R&P setups typically dont last long on older cars due to the above reasons w/o redesign. Unless you want the 'bling' or 'wow' factor, I'd stick w/ improving your stock setup. there are easier and less costly ways to lower the stance on your car. If I were to replace my rear suspension, I'd go w/ Lateral Dynamics or an independent rear from a GTO or Viper w/ a 9" pumpkin. One of my future endeavors.
