everythign will give you aproblem once in a while i intend to run these on the 71

I intend to do the same thing on my '73 Formula. Those early 2nd gens. don't really have a lot of light coming from the back of them.

  Doug,
 when i was a GM tech working on cadillac's, they went to the LED lighting on the rear for most models, they were always coming in for little tiny bulbs being burned out/ inoperative. the LED's look cool, but i may stick with the traditional bulbs for ease and the PITA factor. just my two cents...

Dave gave me a phone # to call to get the replacement  part or lights. still waiting on there return call.  I'll call again the first of the week.

            did you change the led or the whole light?
