Front suspension w LS1?
« on: August 03, 2011, 09:05:53 AM »
Any of you guys done a LS1 swap if so what did you do with your front suspension.  Think my car had a 403 in it originaly but now it sits way to high in the front with the new LS1.  Should I go with new springs and drop spindles?

Not sure but over 100lbs probably more.  LS1 is less than the BB olds I had in there.

It's 100 lbs lighter than a Chevy 350, iron block...... My car with cut front hotchkis springs sits at stock height..... Ls1/4l60e trans, I'm eventually going to a coil over. Drop spindles are supposed to be bad on the suspension geometry..... I can sell you my springs if you are interested?
