'79 TA headlight blackouts
« on: April 17, 2013, 07:06:14 PM »

I have a '79 TA that I bought back in 1985. Previous owner had installed headlight blackouts that I would like to remove. How are the blackouts mounted or secured back in the recessed openings? Press fit, clips to release, adhesive? No room to get a good grip. Suggestions?  Thanks

I think there were more than 1 design ... some used adhesive (kind like a Velcro tape) and some used screws ... if you can post some pictures it will help!

I'm not quite sure about these ones as it is the first time I see these types but they look like they are glued to the headlight rings!

Normally people install these flush with the opening itself and not far behind on the lights themselves! Sorry I couldn't be of any help mate!
