LOL Eroc !!  ;D

Nothing wrong with a Chevy........ good enough for later Poncho's, besides you cant argue with the power that you're gonna have at your disposal Mate.

Im sure as you blow that Mustang into the weeds, he's not gonna be thinking " i hope thats not a chevy in there.... "  ;)
Power is nothing without Control.

ask me no questions , and I'll tell you no lie's .    :-X

but no, not silver. thats the Hitmans t/a. I cant copy that one off look.    I want my own look. like my white and gold SE.

I think the look I'm going for will even impress the purist.

where did you get the hoses?  i saw some at ames but was not sure if they had the correct gm stamps on them for 78.  are the ones you have good for 78 too or are those only 77 correct gm stamps only, either way i like them.  like the ribs on the heater hoses too, not cheap stuff.

OK , now...  I've been having problems with the paint.

long story short-- it was bad hardener in the clear.  after painting test pieces the last 2 weeks and changing to another air system. then taking a part to a paint booth in town.  and getting the same results every time.  PPG came to the conclusion it was the hardener crystallizing in the clear , making it look metallic.  its also not as hard on the car as it should be by now. the polished pics I posted days ago.  it has a flat dead look to it now.  it will polish back up but doesnt stay long.  I know black will shrink over the next few months , but in 2,3 days. dont think so.

PPG is making all right. so no worries.  if I didnt do alot of tests on parts to prove it wasnt my building , air system or anything wrong I did,  PPG would not of stepped up with the hell-of-a deal that gave me.

FYI -- when you go to buy paint/clears what ever .  Look at the dates on the bottoms of the cans.  there is also a batch # on the can.   have the store check the # to be sure it wasnt a recalled #.  they dont get them all out of the system.

the rep is coming out to see how thick the paint is on the car. to know if it need stripped or if it can just go into a oven to be cured out.  then we'll dust new paint on and clear it.
