Power Brake booster
« on: August 17, 2006, 11:10:15 PM »
Down the road I'm changing the power brake booster in my car.
The pedal is getting hard.
Is the original GM  p b booster available or just pick up an aftermarket?

You can get the Original GM Delco or reproductions.  They are roughly about $40 difference.  They are about $120 to $160.

The right Stuff Detailing is definately a great source for all break lines, boosters, and master cylinders, Especially for me since it is only 15 minutes from my house. If you are going original be sure to get the Delco stamped one.

I see that there is a silicone brake fluid available.
Can you covert your system or just mix the two?

Or do you have to change all the seals?

I would definately flush the old fluid out. Just buy an extra bottle or 2 of the fluid. I just did it to my system and used about 32 oz. flushing and filling the new system.
