'81 Turbo SE, the star of the movie "Blue Thunder"
« on: January 15, 2008, 12:26:26 PM »

 Blue Thunder (1983)

The movie's star Roy Scheider drove a Black and Gold SE
Turbo Trans Am, and showed it off a bit.

Here's a few frames from the movie, for your enjoyment...

Nice! Thank you for posting these! I'm working on something and that 4th pic will work nicely for it.

Is it just me or does that driver (shown in the 2nd pic) definitely not Scheider? (Stunt driver?)

Looks like the TTA got a lot of air time. :D I agree Larry... looks like a stunt driver to me.

Thanks for the pics.

Larry, I'm pleased that you could find additional use for
the pic, can we see your creation when done?

Great looking car!  I have that movie too; guess I need to pull it out and watch it.

Forgot about that movie having a T/A in it.  One of my favorites!  Anyone remember JAFO?

I have a 81 Trans Am SE that came with the snowflake wheels.  I see some that come with the turbo wheels.  Was it an add on option or what?  Someone please explain.

I think I read a post here (or on TAC) regarding this question once before saying the turbo wheels were actually optional but don't hold me to it.

thanks for the reply.  I got up this morning and after digging around I found my old packet from Pontiac Historical and you are right the turbo wheels were optional on the model.  You get the gold bird for the day on memory.  Thanks again.
