yes i was driving down the road and seen that tree way in the back of a park, so i drove around the parking blocks and had me a little photo shoot. good thing park rangers didnt find me, lol i'd probably be in trouble? but then again maybe not i was nice to the surroundings and left it as it was before i got there. i thought for the little time i have before tree's start dropping them things totally, it was the brightest best looking color change tree left.
thanks for the compliments rarebird.
-

yes i know you got the four speed.
and to everyone else, Thank you for all the comments It means more than you could imagine to me. I worked on a heap of junk and made her arise from the dead (less interior, taking donations) I am proud of it too. i get this kind of response just driving it too. never got that much activity like that before this guy rolled out.

now looking back at it wowwy wow wow what a transformation
BEFORE

I noticed a pattern here, the car loves feilds and tree's lmfao. 1984-2009 layed up in the weeds jan 2009 put in barn for y82 rescue and skin cancer treatment.
-
How many miles does it have?
-
74,000 and this is because she sat since 84
now imagine the rest that never did sit and have been driven every single year. and they say it has 85,000 prob more like 180 or 280 as my 71 title says something like 205,000 and thats been off the road since 89-91 i think they said
-
Cool photos 8)
Love the back drop of the golden leaves ;D
-
Very cool!...Love the before and after post.
I'm afraid mine still looks like "before" (and it's not a four speed ???)

Why did it get parked? It wasnt that old.
-
they ended up putting a 69 350 2bbl motor and blew it up to never go again
-
Sounds like it had a tough 7 years
-
you want to hear something really sad, about 150 yards away is a pole barn big enough to house 10-14 cars and has always had room to fit that car in and 5 more.
-
That is kinda sad, how did you find it?
-
Good job on the Pics Rick . I can't get over how you transformed your T/A from what it was in the unrestored photo . I guess I haven't been giving you enough credit lol
-
the car belonged to my uncles, buddies nephew or cousin? so we all knew it was there just forgotten about. he either bought it brand new or 1 year old.
rainman, I dont think I gave myself enough credit lol. It's hard to remember that it was a big time pos until I have the pics side by side. YUCK
but as far as everyone on here goes, I think I have gotten beyond great credit. never would have thought I would have gotten feedback like i have. It's a great feeling because it's needed to stay motivated on the car.
-
Great work and done pretty fast. Wish I could get something accomplished like that.
-
thanks yetti, but for me it was done pretty slow imo. I used to do full blown resto's in about 3-6 months depending on the shape and size of the car (when it was my job) now it takes about a year to make an ok driver quality car. oh well atleast its mine and i love it.
-
Rick I recall you had 2nd gen Hurst on one of your T/A's . Was this the one and you managed to change it to first gen? I know you mentioned it was a matter of welding a piece of sheet metal back in I believe
-
yes this is the car :( I discovered the problem after new paint stripes etc. i have not yet corrected this problem but will be doing so over the winter time.

Well I am sure it's a minor problem with your skills . I'm not trying to find faults here ,but just curious as I remember some other posts you had from quite a while ago .
I am still amazed at how you created a master piece from where you started . Looks just wicked to me .Nice to see her brought back to her former Bandit glory
-
thanks buddy I dont care about faults so no pun taken bud. It was my EEEFFFF up since i didnt research my top frames to the fullest before just swapping and laying paint. ooops but now i know and will make and attempt to make sure nobody else ever has the same oooopsie.
