Connection of heater blower motor after removing AC system
« on: January 18, 2020, 03:16:06 PM »
Hello

Ive removed the ac system from my 79 trans am and kept all the wiring that was there.
What i did was install a blower motor with an ac delete cover. The stock ac wiring is just tied together to the side.

Has anyone done this before?

To get my blower working for heat, what would need to be done?

I believe the blower motor has a single tab connector on it?

Thanks!

The blower motor still needs a ground and a live feed. Often a ground wire on mounted on the flange of the motor itself through a mounting screw which in turn comes through the compressor harness and grounds on the engine bracket holding the compressor, now removed. The live wire comes from the blower relay that mounts on the evaporator case, possibly removed or unplugged.
