Headers for 4 speed Formula
« on: May 17, 2021, 10:15:27 AM »
Replacing the 305 Chevy engine with a 350 in my 1981 Formula. Does anyone know of headers that will work without modifications to the 4 speed linkage, the z bar, and the reverse lock out mechanism? Thanks!

350 Chev? Did you have them on the 305?

No I did not have them on the 305.— The formula was bone stock! Figured I would add headers since I am changing engines. Thanks!

Is the new engine also a Chev? Also, check what works with Camaros, mechanically it's what you now have, if also a 350 Chev.

Yes- putting a Chevy back in the car. More research and it appears Hedman is recommended for my application. - I did have to use 81 camaro for my search. I’ll post the results. Thanks to all!
