GOT NEW WHEELS?
« on: July 25, 2009, 10:21:14 PM »
Put them on Last night.  Before you ask...Of course I still have my snowflakes....I know some of you oldies are going to lay into to me for the bigger wheels???  But let me know what you think....I had been looking at wheels for a while, found a great deal on these.  Didn't want to ghetto my car out, but didn't want to get the same wheels that everbody else has.  the stock wheels looked a little small and the year one snowflake billets are out of my price range
I went 18 in front, 20 in rear.
I wanted to keep the classic Muscle car look, but add a little extra to the stance and appearence of the good ole y88, I have never had aftermarket whells, surprisingly the care seems to ride alot smoother...

Im not feeling them. If they were 17s or 18s all the way around I might. Good looking wheel just to large IMO. Looks like a 4x4 almost.

Well, if you're happy then that's all that counts.  Personally I wouldn't want them unless they had spinners on them -- that would complete the look, but that's just my $0.02.  No offense intended, but you DID ask...  :-\

They look pretty cool. I personally would have got 17's all around, but thats me.
But like Rick said, As long as you like them, thats all that matters.

Well im gonna buck the trend on this one, i think they look great, its your car and you should do as you feel.

If anything a slight lowering perhaps of the suspension........

for what its worth ive just fitted 19" rims to mine........ let the mud fly PML.
( i do have the 76 which will be standard, so im not all bad....? )
Power is nothing without Control.

Sorry, but I don't think it goes....too much wheel and not enough tire for me  :) .

I think they look pretty good, I like the year one rims better, but they're way too expensive

Looks ghetto to me as well. Or perhaps like a matchbox car. Either way, poor Y88 :(

But like everyone else said...it is your car afterall.

Wow. Thats different. Im not sure I like the wheels better but I like the car better now. What I mean is the stance your car had before just made those snowflakes look like they were 10 inch wheels. alot of wheel well space. But now it has a better stance. I dont think that the LOW profile tires will last long though. Not on muscle cars. You are brave for doing something different so Congrats to you.
