Users Active Listing
« on: February 07, 2008, 02:29:21 PM »
Does the forum allow that list to be refreshed quicker than 5 minutes?  If so, is it a big hit on the server to make it like 1 or 2 minutes?

Also, I'll suggest it again, how about moving that piece to the top of the board?  I'm always scrolling to the bottom to see who's online, would be nice not to have to scroll so much  >:( ;D

Yes, I can change the time frame to update more often than 5 minutes... but do you need it?  Try using this link: http://www.78ta.com/smf/index.php?action=who

You can use that link as the main link to the Forum, it will show who is online at that moment... then you can use the links at the top to get back into the forum.

That's the shortcut when you select the message of how many users are online. I use that quite a bit already.  It's just under the header "Users Online" at the bottom of the page :)  However, it too shows users for the past five minutes and doesn't update more than 5 minutes.

Do I need it?  Probably not but I don't need a lot of things that I get ;)  No big deal, just thought I'd ask.
