2010 Masters
« on: April 11, 2010, 09:31:08 AM »
Any golfers or golf fans?  This time each year I get stuck in front of the TV watching the Masters..  Growing up, I used to go to the practice rounds each year, good memories :)  Anyway, if Saturday's play was any indication of today's match, this should be a great final round.  I know, most people find it very boring, but I really can't pull myself away from the TV.  Tiger can't hit a fairway, or make a putt and he's still in third :o  Phil looks to be in good form, but always has the "choke" factor to worry about.  Lee Westwood (the Limey) looked great yesterday, but I don't know if he has the nerves to win a Major? Just thought I'd start this thread to see if there is any interest :D

My prediction...

Tiger or maybe Phil ;)

No better golf tournament in my opinion. Always love to watch The Masters at Augusta. Maybe because its the first major. We Canadians are just starting to get warm enough weather to get out golfing. I think Mickelson is going to take the green jacket this year. He just seems to be playing all the shots and has a whole bag of lady luck on his side. It would be the stuff of legends if Woods wins.....Regardless, your right. This final round is going to be awesome.

I'm rooting for Phil, Tiger is a great golfer but recent events have shown he's lost his focus. I do golf, although last year I went golfing once, this year I will be on the links every Sunday morning.

I'm a Tiger fan, he is one of the greats of the game and I love watching him play.  As the Bible says, if anyone of you are perfect, go ahead and cast the first stone.  We all make mistakes and yes, Tiger's was a big one but we all are also afforded forgiveness.  Anyway, kinda off track, just wanted to throw that in.

I enjoy watching it and enjoy playing.  Going down to Pinehurst in June for a weekend trip with some buddies from church.  Should be a lot of fun. I plan on watching the final round today.  These guys are just amazing.

Glad to see we have some golf fans!  I would love to see Bill Haas do well, he is from Greenville, SC my hometown.  His dad is Jay Haas, who always played well at Augusta.  He now plays on the Champions Tour.  Almost forgot, really would love to see Freddie Couples do well also.  I will be glued to the TV starting at 2pm.  This is my favorite golf/sporting event of the year.  I know, BCS and Superbowl are a close second, but there's something special about Augusta :)

Another great Sunday at Augusta.  Many opportunities, with one winner.  Congrats to Phil and his 3rd Green Jacket, well deserved :)

Phil played a great game and made some tremendous shots to get out of trouble.  Well deserved green coat.

That's a sweet course.. & a good one to watch.  Seem's to be alway's cold & mega windy at that one. Playing the course is one thing but battleing the element's of mother nature, It become's a different game.
