I found a 1978 trans Am that been stored in a barn for the last 10 years. Numbers matching body looked good just needed a refresh, so I bought it to restore. 400 Auto coupe, 36,000 miles. So far my progress is pretty good for only having the car 3 months. New Rad and hoses, new gas tank/lines/sending unit. New break lines, new heatercore. Looking to lower it, saw posts on here mentioning PTFB GT KIT but I havent been able to get ahold of anyone to order. Still need to get new seat covers and door panels, inner fenders, year one 17" rims and tires. Been alot of fun to work on  cant wait to drive it. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to share

Dave Nasello frequently visits Trans Am Country, and can be found on FB, he's normally really good with customer contact. Keep the snowflakes or maybe get 15x8's, the 17" ones are tacky imo. For a chin spoiler, get a good used or Danko reproduction kit wholesale. Don't use PUI for seat covers!

What's is PUI?

Poor, unsatisfactory, irredeemable, it's the one of two companies making interior parts for these cars. They do a bad job of, well everything, everyone in the states buys without complaining, and they cower behind their vendors and have no contact information so they can't deal with contains because they are a company of cowards. I strongly suggest people don't buy their products until they improve, but with them being the cheaper of two options, they keep their business. The other is ledgendary, great quailty, (probably the best) but extremely long turnaround times, and will put a big hole in your budget.

I was going to buy the interior kit from Firebird central. Seems to be a good price for all new seat covers, door panels, front carpet and headliner. $1482 Canadian  ( was $420 cheaper before the exchange lol)
