RENOVATIONS:
If you go to your Profile...then Account Settings...hover over Modify Profile for a drop-down menu that includes Look and Layout...you will see a box you may check or uncheck for "Show most recent posts at the top".
Changing this back and forth gave me the backwards effect you describe.....I'd say the issue is in this setting for you.

Thanks guys, quicker to find once had the tip off. Weird, I've not been to there changing settings. Anyway, back to the show.
