its amazing - who researched all these?
like the 79 in Star Trek, voyage home, it was a only a background for a few seconds

regardless, everyone of these movies/tv shows have now become an instant classic :)

The 79 in the star trek, sure looks like an 80 Pace car. pull up the pic, its got a half black roof and rear bumper. Also the car in Chips and Corvette summer is the same one, but painted differently.

I don't know how accurate the year models are, since the one listed as a '77 in Sleepwalkers looks to be Martinique blue (a one-year only color in 1978) and has Fisher t-tops (not available until 1978).

There's a 77 Formula in the movie "Meatballs" starring Bill Murray.

http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_180676-Pontiac-Firebird-Formula-1977.html

There's also a 79 Trans Am in the 2002 tv Christmas movie "Mr. St. Nick" starring Kelsey Grammer.

http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_91221-Pontiac-Firebird-Trans-Am-1979.html

If you narrow the search to just Firebirds, there's 22 pages of results!

I think they forgot the White 78 trans am in the music video Park Life

2 minute 50 sec in.     http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSuHrTfcikU

See that gold mark 1 ford granada.  That is the best the british car makers could do in the 70s.

The rubbish cars we had to put up with in the UK !   .  Thats why i now only drive an american classic.
