Topic: Recaro Daytona Pace car 81 Turbo seats

So where can I find the Recaro seats like the ones found in the 81 turbo Daytona pace car Red and Black

This is exactly what I am looking for for my car

i think thats somethign you will need to just search on craigslist and ebay. unless someone has them on this cite.

They pop up on E-Bay every so often.  Recaro made only 2000 for the 81 Pace Cars, might be hard to find.

But they did make different Recaro styles throughout the 80's that look close, might be easier to find though.

I forgot that the 1979 Ford Mustang Pace Car also had the Recaro Seats, they are a close match to what you are looking for.  Obviously, you would have to switch seat tracks, but that would not be difficult at all.  You would also have to recover the seats to your liking, but with 20+ old seats, that would probably have to be done anyways.

Dave:  Sorry brother, I already have brand new panels that I picked up from Brett and considdering what it cost me to get them to the door, if I don't use them, it might cause a rift in the marriage.

early 3rd gen t/a's had them too but in different colors.  the daytona pace car for 82 or 83 has them as well as the 84 15th anniversary t/a.  i thinks there were black & gold edition "recaro"  t/a's  in the early-mid 80's as well. 

the black & red 81 t/a recaros i have seen recently have sold for quite a large amount.  awhile back  i had a set of fronts that sold for more than the cost of the parts car they came out of!!!
