   Very cool my friend. I'm doing the same thing to my TATA. Curious to see where you go with yours. Also, if you need any pics of the way it looks from the factory, mine has 48K OE miles on it, and is in excellent condition (I know, you're asking yourself why did I tear it apart?). I have lots of pics if you need them....

Got my custom grind in! It's an Erson Roller Cam, cam cards final specs are:
Lobe separation angle: 110+4
Overlap: 72
Intake Opens: 39
Intake Closes: 71
Exhaust Opens: 82
Exhaust Closes: 33

Valve Lift: .544 on both intake and exhaust

Duration: 290/294 (int/ex)

7/4 Swap

These specs are at 110, not .050. I'll put the .050 if ya'll want.

The overall quality of this camshaft is flawless and beautiful. Cannot wait to get it in the motor and run it. Visually it looks great, no nicks, scratches, machine debris or anything. I highly recommend Erson and PBM.

That's it as far as the cam goes. Any questions, please feel free to ask! Anyone using a roller camshaft in the future remember you MUST buy a cam button to keep the cam from walking!


I have started restoring the pulleys and brackets on this car as well. New or restored ones from a parts supplier are upward 200 bucks! I restored these with a TON of elbow grease, and $8 rattle cans. I'll be posting a step by step that I use with photo's in the Restoration section when I start the next set of brackets:

Billy, I feel your pain! Paying rent, tuition, fraternity dues, beer, and to top it all off building a Trans Am (which is where the beer comes in....) makes it go really slow in the funds department! Just trying to work with what I've got for now. The 403 is going to be great and worth every dime though!

Well, assuming the funds are there, this weekend it looks like I'll be loading up GATA on the trailer and heading for North Georgia to get it to the shop doing my restoration work. I'll keep you guys posted!

Well, today and tonight have been somewhat depressing but also joyful! Spent the first half of the day on the phone with the shop making sure they had room for me. Spent the second half tracking down a trailer (Sometimes living in a small town sucks), and the third half getting the Trans Am ready to roll, and loaded up. Here it is 1 AM and it's finally all loaded up. My barn is empty, and the Trans Am will be leaving my possession for the first time since I drove it 400 miles from North GA over 3 years ago. I guess it's great that it's finally going! Just sad to not see it out front anymore.

Anyway, enough of my blabbing, here's some pictures!

Forgot I took the interior out...and we needed a driver, so this was the best we could come up with ,here's my fraternity brother and roommate "driving."

For the first time since I bought the Trans Am, it is no longer out in my driveway or workshop! It's now sitting up at a family friend's restoration shop in Marietta. Took some fun pictures of the travel there and back yesterday. I left South GA at 8, got home around 2:30 AM, driving a grand total of 646 miles! Here's some pictures from the fun:

Pulled into the shop, and to my excitement saw my long time high school buddy's old Tonka truck parked out front. His dad owns the business, and the shop manager is now driving this truck. It is a highly modified (luxury mods that is) Ford F-150. If you can name it, this thing has it going on inside, we lived it up in highschool in this truck!:

I had terrible timing and managed to hit ATL in rush hour, which made for a very unpleasant ride but downtown is always a decent change of pace from the backwoods:

I made it home, 646 miles and 19 hours later! It was a blast, got to visit my family, sister, and girlfriend as well. Dad met me at the shop. Going to miss my car, but now I can focus on building this engine to put back in it!

I'll keep the updates coming a lot more steady now as well. Going to miss not having this car out in my workshop:
