79 Firebird interior sound deadening opinion
« on: November 12, 2017, 04:33:31 PM »
Hello,
My son and I are putting a new interior in our 2nd Gen and I wanted to ask what people are using on the floors under the carpet. Im not sure about the peel and stick stuff and was wondering if anyone used a spray deadener that would work? Currently the interior is out and the floors are bare and clean. The good news is that we got about 5 bucks in change under the carpet to help with the project  :)

You'll find there's no one answer to all but often use of several. You can use a thick paint on liner, then a stick on type like dynamat or other proven brand name which have some heat insulation properties but moreso for sound and vibrations, followed by traditional under carpet insulation matting.
