At the risk of being the odd bird out here, the white letters on the black background are a *bit* hard to read when you're tired. Maybe it's just me, but at the end of the day (or middle of the night if I'm not sleeping) I get a little blurry eyed and the white letters in the fine font tend to run together. Granted, they are high contrast and it has a distinctly different look than the standard black letters on white, but I find myself wishing it was maybe something like black letters on a tan background (OK, Solar Gold for you late model gen 2 people).
Otherwise, it's good with clear icons that work well and are intuitive to understand.
Maybe it's all those years of driving the far side of extra-legal speeds while scanning for odd things behind bridges, over the crests of hills, parked on the "on" ramp you just passed, or stuck between the bushes in the median...
