Bump steer kits
« on: December 17, 2020, 12:41:37 AM »
Just curious if anyone has any experience with bump steer kits on 2nd gen Firebirds. Since getting my lowered 72 formula back on the road I have a problem with bump steer and hoping this would be an inexpensive fix.

Thank you for the reply but I think you're misunderstanding what I'm asking. My car has been lowered 2 inches, with Hotchkis coil springs, all new balljoints and rebuilt stock A arms,  also went with 17" wheels and 245/45ZR17 tires, considerably wider than stock. It doesnt handle as well as I would like, seems to wonder all over when not on smooth pavement. From the research I've done, lowering it has changed the geometry, and causes what know as bump steer. Looking for a way to correct it without spending a bunch of money.
