Hotchkis 2408c

Any one have any info on why the hotchkis leaf spring 2408c only fits 70-73 firebird?..but will fit 70-81 camaros??

I can't see/think of any reason why they wouldn't fit later 2nd gen Firebirds as well.
You might want to call Hotchkis and ask to be sure.

I do believe one is a 4 leaf and the other is a 5 leaf... but still

According to their site, they recommend #2409C...which of course is more expensive ;)

Have the chance to buy a set of these localy in Canada... my 76 didn't have a rearend or leafs when I bought it so... im not sure if it came with a 4 or 5 leaf spring from factory... guess I'll have to call Hotchkiss

4 leaf would be standard for a T/A...other Firebird models used the 5 leaf.

So... the answer is... 2408c is the same as 2409c... they changed the part number because the springs are part of a complete suspension package... and the package changes with the next year up lol...to make it less confusing for then when picking it out 🤣🤣🤣
