79 Firebird 455 olds #8 spark plug
« on: November 05, 2017, 07:00:27 PM »
Hello,
I just bought a 79 Gen 2 with a 455 olds. Southern car that was super clean with Iron heads with the casting C. After looking the car over I noticed that the #8 cylinder spark plug looks snug as a bug in a rug. Has anyone have any words of wisdom on changing that plug out?

It has some modified headers to fit the car. I will have to just have mess with it. Maybe a socket with a wrench for clearance
IdK.

Try removing the plug by getting to it under the car. Going at it from above obviously is not working for you. I had the same problem with a 2001 Z28. I spent three hours trying to reach the plug by leaning over the fender. When I went at it from underneath it came out in seconds.
